The Village is about a mile south from the intersection of Brownsville Road and Corrigan Drive.  This is also the location of the County police station.  Traveling south the village is on the right.  The entrance may come up on you fast but do not worry, just turn in at the next one.

 Synopsis
Roses' is an oasis in the barren South Hills.  Just south of South Park (a County Park) you will find a small and friendly country bar that is well run.  They have good food and drink at an honest price.  The sign out front says "A family restaurant" which tells me you will be welcomed.  The bar is not very large but if this is the place to be on a Saturday night.

 Special Note
This stretch of Brownsville Road goes through a county park.  The village is less than a mile from the county police station (at the racetrack) and the speed limit is 25mph.  Having a beer with your buddies should be fun but be responsible too.  Don't speed.

 Bar Hours
Monday 5 PM to 1 AM; Tues.; Wed., Thurs. 4 PM t 1 AM; Friday 3 PM to 1:30 AM; Saturday 1 PM to 1:30 AM; Sunday 1 PM to 11 PM.

 Happy Hour
I was so happy to be there that I forgot to look.  But I did not see a sign either.  Roses' is not overpriced and you may be happy with the regular price.

 Holiday Closing
They tell me they are closed some and open some.  It would be best to call.

 Beer, Wines & Spirits
They have 7 or so taps and over a hundred bottles.  It should be noted that the Village Pub had imports and micros long before many of today's inner city haunts.

 Food
This is an American Restaurant were you will find 13 sandwiches, 14 dinner entrees and 12 items on the children's menu.  I'll take the applesauce.  One of the dinner entrees at the Village may not be found on the other places in this guide but it is well sought after, Liver & Onions for $7.95.  Look for the daily specials when you come in.

 Food Hours
The kitchen typically closes about 11:00 PM.

 Entertainment
OK, so they have an electric dartboard.  But this sports bar is for watching sports on TV and do they have the sets.  At the bar alone I counted 18 sets.  I saw a set at the waitress station too.  You will find one in the men's room and most likely one in the ladies room too.  The dining room has a bunch as well.  Many of the sports casts come from satellite dish.

 Cigar Smoking
I would ask.  The place is a bit small so they may prefer you not to smoke the big tobacco.

 Cash Problem?
Iron & Glass Bank has an ATM on the front side (on the left) of the Village.

 Parking
The Village is in the center of a vast parking lot so you should have no problems finding a spot unless they put in more satellite dishes.
